Miss Mena's Focusyn

We've gone back to basics somewhat. And we've found that if ever there was a simple way to effectively tame the indoor whirlwind that is our 28kg Lab/Kelpie (she's a little from column A, a little from column B), it's our new friend Halti. See Figure A.

Quite simply, this is Jazz's Focusyn - or more commonly known in the wider, non-Simpsons world as Ritalin, to you and me, Russ - and I had to stroke it and ask it where it's been all our Jazz-filled lives.

Ok, so it's kind of weird to have her behave ever so perfectly - we know she has it in her but it takes a lot of time and patience (a little more urgency to listen the first time is required these days of Jazz too and she still hasn't got that part) - but man, does this thing work. Just for indoors and walks and whenever a bit of decorum is required. It's soft and gentle and my best friend. It means I can have her inside and enjoyably so.

And here is Figure A. Behold the Halti! who goes there?

She hasn't been drugged. Really. Promise.

She would just like me to know that whatever she did,
she won't do it anymore as long as I take this thing the hell off her face.
(That's not likely)

Oh how we L O V E Haltis at our house! All 3 of my boys wear them and it makes life so much easier. Ben has had his for... 3 or 4 years now, for every walk (though not at school) and still tries to paw it off at least once a week.
